La Corda D'Oro - For those who love music.

I would like to post my personal review for this anime - La Corda D'Oro ~ Primo Passo. (Currently screening on Animax - Wed 7.00pm). This anime revolves around the lives of 7 music enthusiasts who were selected to participate in the school concourse. They are:


1) Hino Kahoko (Violin) - who is also the female lead of this anime.
2) Tsukimori Ren/Len (whichever) (violin) - The cool, sort-of introvert guy
3) Tsuchiura Ryotaro (piano) - His piano skills are deadly!!
4) Hihara Kazuki (trumpet) - The happy-go-lucky/jovial guy (and also my favourite!)
5)Yunoki Azuma (Flute) - He has a lot of dangerous fans. LOL
6) Shimizu Keiichi (Cello) - A pretty boy who loves to sleep (like audelia). heh.
7) Fuyumi Shouko (Clarinet) - A nice, shy little girl.


Hino Kahoko hasn't any musical talent, but was selected to participate in the concourse because she can 'see' Lili the fairy. (-.-)" Nevertheless, with the gift of magic violin from Lili, Hino Kahoko soon learns to appreciate and love music. Oh did I mention that 4 of the guy participants actually compete for her affections? well, now you know.


I personally think that this show succesfully spread the love of music among its viewers. Like me, for example. After watching 2 episodes, I started to look up for sheet music of classical pieces that they play in the anime:-



Fantasie Impromptu by Chopin (I know many of the fans are dying to learn this piece after Tsuchiura played it)
Waltz in D-flat Major
Ave Maria
Tristesse
Gavotte
Pieces by Camille Saint-Saens, Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Ravel to name a few.


This anime involves a few genres:
Romance, Comedy, Angst (a little), Suspense and Friendship.


I strongly suggest you to watch this anime. It entertains and educates. How? At the end of each episode, you will get to indulge in "Lili's One-Point Classic" which it'll show you some interesting facts and trivia of music that you've never heard of!
